The construction of Museum Batik is the city's government effort to establish Pekalongan as the transit point for batik enthusiast also to share the knowledge and historical value of batik culture to the citizens of Pekalongan, Indonesia, and the world. The building of Museum Batik is purposively chosen to be the appropriate "actor" for narrating the evolution journey of Batik Pekalongan in tune with the plot and theme within this video mapping.

Coinciding with Pekalongan City's 105th anniversary, this event intends to reinforce the city branding of Pekalongan as "Kota-nya Batik Dunia-World's City of Batik", that is Pekalongan City's commitment to set Batik Pekalongan as the evolution benchmark that inspires the art of batik in the world.
